Portugal. The Man at Radio City Music Hall

Portugal. The Man is a six-member rock band originating from Wasilla, Alaska. The band, led by frontman John Gourley, dropped their debut album, Waiter: “You Vultures!” in 2006. The independent release was met with high acclaim from fans and critics thanks to the band’s unique approach to progressive post-hardcore music. Three years after their moderately successful debut, the band released their breakthrough album, The Satanic Satanist. The fourth effort entered the Billboard 200 and Top Rock Albums, settling at moderate numbers 81 and 38.

In 2017, the band released their best-selling album, Woodstock. The platinum-certified effort peaked at number 3 on Billboard’s Top Alternative and Top Rock Albums. The album’s lead single, “Fill It Still,” earned the band several accolades, including the Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performances, the iHeartradio Music Award for Alternative Rock Song of the Year, and a Webby Award. Meanwhile, the band also won Best New Headliner at the Pollstar Concert Industry Award, Top 40 Group of the Year at the New Music Award, and Vanguard Award at the ASCAP Pop Awards.

This summer of 2023, the band is set to release their new album, Chris Black Changed My Life. The album has been preceded by the lead single, “Dummy.”
