Lake Street Dive was formed in 2004 and consists of founding members Rachael Price, Mike “McDuck” Olson, Bridget Kearney and Mike Calabrese. The upcoming tour will be the band’s first-ever tour without Mike Olson, who announced his departure in May after 16 years. The group began playing music with a distinct, improvised, avant-garde style of play. Apart from the tour, Lake Street Dive has a busy year ahead as they are also scheduled to play at a handful of festivals.
All band members had been playing musical instruments from a very young age and some of them got their inspiration from their parents. Their music reflects a range of influences from classic jazz, soul and rock n roll. The band also takes pride in being a lifelong fan of the Beatles' discography and their songs often reference Beatles tunes. Their live performances are one of the reasons why they are so popular around the world. The band has an undeniable chemistry and they play with such passion that it becomes an immersive experience for the audience. If you want to have that experience as well, make sure you get your tickets right now and watch Lake Street Dive at the iconic Radio City Music Hall on 10th September.
