As well as turning heads with the release of ‘Bewitched’, Laufey was also the cover star for the November/December 2023 issue of NME. “The Icelandic-Chinese star's dazzlingly second album is confident and musically ambitious, melding jazz, pop and modern classical composition,” the magazine said.
The celebrated artist also spoke to NME in 2023, about the inspiration around her lyrics in ‘Bewitched’. “Love and relationships became this really curious thing to me, because I entered into it so late that it went from nothing to something in like a night,” she said. “I remember thinking to myself, ‘Everybody goes through this?’”
